I don’t typically find a lot of value in reddit or any comment threads really, but this one has some gems re: work / life balance, attitudes towards training, etc. A longtime favorite anecdote:

Jr Mgr [to Sr Mgr]: What if our employees learn new stuff and then leave?!?
Sr Mgr: What if they don't... and STAY!?!
